Introducing New Classes

SCULPTURE CHRISTIAN ROUSSET INSTRUCTS

Basics of expression in sculpture taught. Instructor starts with demonstration. Students participate in exercise to understand the relationship of shadow and light, visualization and realization of student's imagination.

Mr. Rousset studied Architecture and Sculpture at Ecole Nationale Des Beaux Arts and Ecole Nationale Boule in Paris, France. Was an art instructor at Donzy High School in Paris. Designed and carved all the wood clocks for "The Bicentenial Man" movie, starring Robin Williams.

Exploring the World of the Abstract is a six week class designed to introduce the student to abstract art through drawing and painting. Thinking in a different way and appreciating two and three dimensional design.

The CCAFA guest lectures, presentations, discussions, occasional formal workshops and seminar events occur at irregular intervals throughout each year. The noon meetings every second Friday will occasionally include illustrated lectures. Announcements here will include some meetings at local studios. Sessions may be illustrated with slides or films.
